Athenahealth Progresses Into Second Round of Bidding War
Three potential buyers, UnitedHealth Group, TPG and Bain Capital, have all entered the race to acquire athenahealth. These offers are in addition to the still standing offer from hedge fund Elliott Management. Athenahealth has been considering a potential sale since June and, with more offers on the table, the real possibility of an acquisition is on the horizon.

Big Technology Players Pledge To Further Interoperability Movement
Technology giants such as Amazon, Google, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and Salesforce all came together at the Blue Button 2.0 conference to further the interoperability evolution by pledging their resources to the cause. With big companies like these removing barriers to allow health data to be transmitted more fluidly, we can only look forward to further expansion of health care interoperability and accessibility.
